Question on cpu difference

With all the number I can only guess, but, which would be best in processing power?
1. intel pent 4 2.6
2. amd x2 64 4600

# 2 without a doubt. Although the x2 64 4600 is clocked 200mgh lower it will still beat that P4, especially in multithread applications, doh 😛

Not even in the same league, and old Pentium-4, vs. a Dual core that is much faster clock for clock. The X2 4600 will destroy that old P4.

Thats what I wanted to hear.
My mb is in need of replacing and I have always went intel before.
So #2 is what I ordered with a msi mb and two 1g ddr2 677 mem.
I thought they might go together nicely...
