Question on Core Temp

So what is the typical spread in core temp from core to core or should it all be the same (assume idle or 4 core full load)? What is the indication if they are different, a poor mounting of the HS and thermal paste? On my QX9770 I get 37,32,32,37 in Real Temp.

65, 64, 62, 62 on my B3 Q6600 at 100% load. I screwed up when mounting the HSF but never bothered to reseat it.

I get very strange readings from my q9450 (using realtemp):

idle

core1: 53c
core2: 54c
core3: 35c
core4: 35c

full load (occt'd)

core1: 62c
core2: 62c
core3: 47c
core4: 49c

I would of guessed that my hsf is not making sufficient contact (non coplanar) as Tdelta difference from the cores are astounding (20C+!). However, the Trise is pretty much tracking with one another, so i think it's the sensors (common)....

yeah, 5c is nothing. I get 8-9 diff on both of my quads. I just make sure that the hottest one isn't TOO hot.
one of bryan's legs is shorter than the other though. (jk) Properly mounting the HSF makes a big difference! 🙂
