Question on Configuring 3 Screens

My desktop PC has 2 Sapphire Radeon 6950s and they are connected via DVI to a 27" ASUS LCD and a 19" Acer LCD. The motherboard is an ASUS P8Z68-V PRO G3 and it has an HDMI out. Can I output via HDMI to a Sony Bravia 48" LCD from either the motherboard or the HDMI out on the video cards? Is there software to manage something like that?

Yes. You should be able to connect to one of your graphics cards. According to AMD each of your Radeon 6950 supports up to six monitors!!! It depends on what ports the graphics card manufacturer puts on there. You don't need any additional software. Windows will detect and be able to configure the monitors.

* If 4 of them are DisplayPort.

But yeah, between the two of them, you should be able to have 4 DVI or HDMI displays.

My Sony Bravia is connected via HDMI on the 2nd video card and the two other LCDs are connected to the first card via the 2 DVI ports but Windows and the AMD Catalyst software doesn't detect it. The Sony Bravia doesn't receive a signal either.

I've disabled Crossfire but it still doesn't detect the Sony Bravia. I've tried each of the HDMI ports but it still won't detect.

Unplug one monitor and plug the sony bravia in and see if it detects it. Maybe you need some drivers for that monitor. I know when they use more than 2 monitors sometimes they use 3rd party software. Maybe you have to make some adjustments to the drivers for the video cards. It probably works better if all the monitors are the same.

I saw something about using an active displayport adapter! Key word being active.
