Question on color depth on most laptops

What do you guys have for the color depth on your laptops?

Mine is IBM A31p and it has both 16 and 32 to choose. However, if I am not mistaken, laptop lcds only support up to 16 one. So what will happen if I have it set to 32?

if you have slow integrated graphics w/ a small amount of system ram allocated then set it to 16bit - much less work for the display adapter.
