question on building a comp

just put together my new A64 rig. first time build, did it in 3 hours of careful reading. my question is, is it better to use a separate PSU cable for each component, or can one cable adequately power a HD and DVD burner for instance. i have an antec truepower 430, and used a separate cable for each component.

p.s. an ASUS board with a 64 3000 cpu and a 9800 pro whirling away is a beautiful thing.

Some people like to keep fans and hard drives on seperate PSU cables to stop power fluctuations or line noise or whatever from effecting the drive. I doubt it's a problem with good quality PSU though. I tend to plug them in whatever way makes the cable routing the easiest and look the cleanest.
