I'm planning on buying a new HD set soon and wanted to know a few things about cable, hookups, etc.
The tv will be a 56" JVC HD-ILA HD-56G886 Rear Projection
I only have standard cable at the moment but will upgrade to Digital cable right before purchasing the set. I will be going the cable card route as I don't have any interest in PPV type movies. I do "NOT" want a cable box of "ANY" type unless I 100% need one to view HD content.
Questions:
How many extra channels will I recieve going to Digital Cable from Standard?
How many HD channels currently come with Digital Cable? (I know there are few)
With going to Digital Cable without a box, is the coax connection the same going to the tv? , or do I have them use a diff connection?
Any other input on this would be appreciated.
Note: Not interested in hearing about any other type of tv instead of the JVC, I've already made up my mind 🙂
