So how much of a heat difference will like 1600+ to a 1800+ really make??

i have a hsf that says for 1500+ but was wondering if it would work for 1800+

the model num for my hsf is volcano 6Cu

onza

The Volcano 6cu is rated up to the Athlon XP2200+ CPU, according to the manufacturer's site.

Take a look here for more info on your HSF.

I don't think he was referring to room temperature.

onza: your HSF should work perfectly ok with the newer processor.
