Question on advancing in security

First off, before anyone decided to respond, I know I could take classes to get what I desire. At this juncture, I do not have the time or money to get the classes. I have taught myself for the most-part, but I still do not know a lot. Some I have picked up here, and some elsewhere.

Anyways, I wish I learn more because I am constantly asked to provide computer and technical advice for people I work with and people I am around. This is not uncommon and the requests are usually fairly menial. Requests I have no trouble handling. However, there are some circumstances where I am unable to assist and I must refer them to a specialist which will cost them money.

So, I was wondering if there was such a site where I could be able to turn myself from an intermediate at security and basic PC repairs to something a little higher. I know what I am asking is probably going to require that I take some classes and I shall look into that later, but for now, I was really hoping that there would be a way that I could further advance my knowledge so I could further assist my friends and family when and if they run into any more problems that I am unable to handle.

This, but here's some articles which should give you an idea of how general security can be. Honestly Sec+ and a CCNA cert are considered to be entry-level stuff, so do realize where you're at in the world of computer maintenance so you can better orient yourself and navigate through it all to what you want.
