Question on Acoustic Edge

How can I set up the acoutics edge for a 2.1 speaker set up. It has a 2, 4 and 5 and 5.1 settings but not a 2.1 Thus my subwoofer is disabled.
 
i have a 4.1, set the acoustic edge to 2 speaker mode and i still hear the sub. is it disabled or just at a very low volume? you might want to try the treble/bass controls on the right hand side of the same screen.
 
It doesn't work unless I set it to 5.0 or 5.1, and when I do it is really really loud even when I adjust the settings.
