question on 975x board and 2nd PCIe 16x slot

I want to install a video card on the 1st PCIe 16x slot and and raid card on the 2nd. The card needs 8 PCIe lanes.

How do I know that the 2nd slot is providing 8lanes?

If both slots are populated, your system should switch to 8x/8x configuration. What 975x board is it?

it's a foxconn board.
