Question on 939 board?

If I put in 3 sticks of memory instead of 4 into a 939 board what will happen? Will I lose any speed? Would it be better to have just 2 and make 1GB or the 3 and have 1.5GB.

The number of sticks would effect ram speed - you need to review your mobo manual for recommended configs/speed settings.

And if it is dual-channel - you can do it with an odd number of sticks.

edit: can't do it with an odd number of sticks.

1T is faster than 2T command if you put 4 stick of ram on the mobo you will get 2T command, I think it is worth to stick with 2 ram for 1T with dual channel kit only if your mobo support it
