Ok here is the deal. I have tickets to a band. I may be able to see them 4 times this summer...which is really good. Its going to cost a lot tho. If i see them all four times its going to cost me 200 bucks.

I have a ticket for someone to come with me for each show. So i have 4 extra tickets.

My question is, is scalping one ok? If i scalp one I can make back all the money I spent on tickets and see the band for free.

My problem is...When I dont get tickets cause of scalpers I hate them. They are cruel people..who buy just to sell.

I bought with the intention ofgiving it to friends...but its a lot of money..

tought decision.

If that's how you feel about scalpers then what's the problem? You know you didn't get them like that in the first place.

Scalping... is capitalism. It's illegal though, right?

Legal in Wisconsin. You just have to be a certain minimum distance away from the venue.

Is it Tool? If so, it's extremely illegal and you'll rot in Hell. Donate them to me and I'll take care of it for you.

Seriously, check eBay. They have ticket selling rules from all 50 states I believe. Just click 'Sell' and drill down to ticket sales; the warnings will pop up I assume. They do for software sales.

haha see. You are ok with other tickets being scalped but when it comes to your favorite band you get pissed.

Yes there are state laws. Check ebay tho....see all those tickets? None of htem follow that rule and ebay never stops them.

If it's for sold-out venues, sell them for what the market will bear. Never mind face-value, if people want the tickets, they will pay more. Nothing immoral about that. If there was, it would be immoral for Toyota to sell the Prius for more than the MSRP, which because of it's popularity, happens all the time...
