Question of deals, hot or not?

I looked through (briefly) ATHD forum to see if we had a hot or not category, or were we allowed to post a deal where we asked if it was hot or not.


To be most specific, Sam's club is running web auctions for their members. Proabably in an effort to jettison large stockpiles of items, so I do not know if something is a good deal. And to, when does higher bidding take the item from 'hot' to 'warm' to 'cold?'

My parent's want to bid on this item. But for once, I don't have any knowledge of whether or not this a good deal.


Does anyone have an idea?


And I apologize if this in the wrong forum, or not in the spirit of this particular group.

Any HP consumer desktop is NOT a Hot Deal unless it's 60% or more less than retail.

HP Pavilion is suck.

Slightly better crap would be this for $369.
