okay-- just got my new car 2 weeks ago (in sig) and I have to say that i love it--

however something didnt really occur to me until earlier today. my car was advertised to have a rockford fosgate powered 300watt 9 speaker stereo system

well.. today i washing my car and was looking around on the inside, and only found 7 speakers (4 in the front, 2 in the back, and the sub) and they didnt actually appear to be rockford fosgate speakers... only the head unit / reciever thingy is.

so i'm like whats going on-- so i check out the nissan website and it says 9 speakers (7 locations)- aperently the back two speakers count as 4 becuase of tweeters?

and its only a RF powered system-- so the speakers dont have to be RF.

anyways, - dont get me wrong, i love nissan, and i love my car... i just kinda think that nissan screwed people over a little... seems like false advertisement to me. what do you all think?

nissan ~ driven

p.s. and to anybody who says bad stuff about nissan-- i challenge you to a race (no matter what kind of car you drive) - or to find a car with more bang for the buck.

<< rockford fosgate powered >>

Well that would make sense that the deck is supposedly the only RF component since the speakers don't power themselves.

If you like the car and the stereo then why not just relax and enjoy it. Chalk up the 7-9 speaker thing to nothing more than the marketing hype that it is.

yeah, thats exactly what i'm doing.. and the stereo is great for a stock system. i really have absolutely zero complaints--- i just think its kinda false advertising..

can a speaker with a tweeter count as 2 speakers?
