I am curious as to whether it is possible to get these labtop screens to work on a desktop computer? Ebay has a bunch of them. I just built a microATX system and was wondering if I can somehow add this screen.
Is it possible? :)

Possible? I would have to say yes. Worth the time, effort and energy? Probably not.

What sort of adapter is on the laptop screen. I am looking at pictures on ebay and the adapter ends look strange. Will I be able to purchase a screen and hook it up to a GF4 video card?

I believe you need the LCD controller, which usually isn't included when you just buy an LCD screen
