Question. Is your computer responsible for your fat rolls?

I love my computer and I love what it can do for me. Hell, I have three of them. My only complaint is that over the years it seems there has been a positive correlation between weight gain and computer usage. I know I should exercise more but if I have the choice between assembling a computer or exercising, I assemble the computer. I love assembling computers, testing them out for the first time, and running various tests to see if they kick ass. Damn technology and its constant change. Maybe by admitting my habit, I can break it. So my question is, who has put on a few pounds staring at their monitor?

My computer job is responsible for it, not my home PC.

I've put on 25 lbs since I got here 20 months ago.

Luckily for me I play soccer, and run weekdays during the summer so I stay in shape somewhat (I only run 2-3 miles so I am not in great shape, but alright).

That's right, I'm not going to blame my extra poundage on a computer!

It's obviously the fault of Herr's Potato Chips and Burger King.

In like spirit, my 25 lbs are the fault of greasy cafeteria pizza & vending machine food when the cafeteria isn't open.

Yes, I think my problem probably lies within my crappy eating habits while sitting there. Maybe I should eat a more healthy diet. Nah.

If anything, cut out any and all sugared drinks. Stick with water, don't even drink the diet products. You'd be amazed how much sugar is in a 12 oz can of Mt. Dew.

I'm only about 10 lbs above my ideal but the summer I got a computer in '97 - at least my own computer - is also the summer that my obsessive interest in fitness subsided. I now work out casually and keep "fit", but nothing like before I had the computer.

Hmm...well I'm 5'6, 130 pounds, I lift every other day, run on the days that I don't lift, and play two separate volleyball leagues, junior olympics from october-february and high school from february-june....I'd say I don't have any fat rolls for the computer to be responsible for :)
