is this drive burnproof?....and what is the difernece between the LITE-ON LTR-24102B-01 and the LITE-ON LTR-24102B-02????????

Yep, this drive has burnproof. The "-01" refers to the OEM and the "-02" refers to the retail, I think anyways, I could be backwards on this.

It has "JustLink", basically the same thing without the expensive royalties to Sanyo (BURN-prood owner). I *think* those model numbers just indicate retail/OEM, same drive.

It has Lite-On's "SMART burn" feature, which works identically to BURN-proof, and will respond to programs using the BURN-proof feature. "SMART burn" also checks the quality of the inserted CDR/W and uses the optimal burn speed accordingly.

Yep, and that is also an excellent way to tell if a rebadged drive (such as a Cendyne brand, etc.) is actually a Lite-On inside. Look for the SMART-BURN Technology logo on the box and if it's on there, a Lite-On drive awaits you inside.
