when u install a new HDD...

ususally it will auto assign a Drive letter

but in order for windows to see the drive, u need to fdisk and format the drive..

onza

Are you simply adding it to the setup, or are you replacing one of the existing hard drives? What's your current HD configuration?

right now,
i have one hardrive, Quantum LM 30G
and i splited it to C, D, E drives..

i want my new drive to be Drive F(just after/behind my current drives and before/in front of my cd roms)

i know fDisk... hehee, just don't know how to get Windows to assign it to the latest drive number.

it should be auto-assigned the letter "F" if it is win2k or XP (they are smarter than older versions). good luck.
