So say a radio personality says something like Imus said. A week goes by and no one makes a complaint. The following week, someone hears about it 2nd hand and is offended by it.

can they do anything about it?

I hope I am one day in a position where I can say shlt and people will be offended by it, and I will tell them to STFU. If I was in Imus's position, I would tell Sharpton that I didn't say anything racist, and he's racist for thinking so.

And then I would have a black friend from England, so that I can laugh everytime someone calls him African American. Idiots.

Oh, I would have people call me melanin-deficient, not white or caucasian.

I was listening to the Imus/Sharpton interview this morning and I was really hoping that Imus would have told Sharpton how much more racist he [Sharpton] is than himself.

Attention African-American ATOT Members

Yesterday morning, at approximately 7:13am, as my daughter was getting ready for school, I noticed that she hadn't brushed her hair as I had instructed her to do a few moments earlier. At this point, I said to her, in partial jest:

"Girl, go get a brush and run it through that nappy head of yours."

In light of recent event, I had come to understand that I am now a racist. My daughter is Caucasian, and therefore in my referring to her hair as "nappy," I now understand that that I have insulted all peoples of African-American descent. There is no excuse for my actions. Just because I was in my own house and making a light-hearted statement does not excuse my grossly insensitive comments.

I have belittled an entire race and made a mockery of their historical plights. No words can make amends for my behavior. As of this morning, I refuse to report to work for 2 weeks - instead, taking a vacation in which I will study the origins of Nappy Hair Syndrome (NHS) and fund charities, such as the NHSAoH and the PftEToNHH, dedicated to the eradication of this affliction. Together, we will work towards that common goal, as well as to educate the ignorant (such as myself) on this debilitating condition. We *will* find a cure.

Good day and take care, my chocolate friends.

I view NSF4 as the leader of ATOT's Black Community (although he has too much common sense to be paralleled to Al Sharpton,) therefore I will kiss only his ass. :lips:

Seriously, WTF does Nappy head mean? In England a Nappy is a diaper. I still don't get it. And how is a diaper black, I've never seen one that isn't white. :confused:x2

The only thing he has in common with the rest of us Brothers is his love of fat white women.

Yes. During the press conference, each member of the team came up to the stand and stated their name and where they were from. I recall during my glance at the screen, at least one white girl that went up there. Not sure the exact quantity of white that are on the team, but the team is not 100% black.

Unfortunately the liberals have created a state in this country where people spend their days looking for something to be offended by that they can exploit for one reason or another.

Have you seen a black person's hair? It looks like a head full of pubes. They don't have good hair. Nappy is the word normally used to describe black people's hair. Do a google image search, or look at the Amazon.com search someone posted earlier in this thread as a joke. Pretty much all pictures of black people and books about being black. If you honestly think he was talking about the white women on the team, I think you're deluding yourself. If he said they all had big lips and noses, would you say "well some white people have big lips and noses too...?" Are we so afraid of accepting that stereotypes exist that we pull the wool over our own eyes?

Now nappy is not a racial slur by any means, but obviously he was talking about the black women on the team. And calling them hos is not appropriate regardless of race.

Edit: I see a lot of people talking about political correctness. I would say that the unwillingness to admit that black people normally have nappy hair, and white people don't is a good example of political correctness. There are differences between the races, most of them are physical differences, and there is nothing wrong with acknowledging them.

And you spend your Halloweens chasing blacks out of your neighborhood.

Michael Irvin implied on ESPN radio that Tony Romo (100% white) must have some black in him because of how agile and fast he is. All he got was a slap on the wrist and made to apologize once. This is ridiculous and insane. It's like "these people" (bad joke) need to drag this out as long as possible and make it into some kind of three ring circus.
