Question if anyone uses the Soyo SM/CF reader

I'm running XP, and I installed the Box thingy into my comp and connected the cables accordingly. Installing the software was easy because it said since I was on XP there was nothing to install. I have two new "Removable Storage" drivers in My Computer and there's a SM card in the reader. However, when I click either of the drives it says "Insert Disk." Of course, the fact that the media is in makes me think there is a disk in, but to no avail. Any ideas or anything I've missed?

Edit: Clarification

Easy stuff first.... Do you have the Smart Media card in the correct reader (bottom)? Is it in right-side up (with the shiny side up)?

Do you have all of the drivers for the board working?

Some people have had issues with bad Bayone boxes. If you can't get it to work, look into these threads, mostly at http://www.amdforums.com .

on topic, but not 😀

my student ID has a chip in it that i can store info and stuff(my addy, student #, and student cash) is there a way i can read data with my smart-card reader? i haven't installed the SM reader yet, but it's here......it doesn't specificly say "smart card" or anything.......
