question! IF a stock split is pending, but hasn't happened yet..

TIE announced a stock split that is now pending...for 5/15.....if I buy some of it now, will i get in on the split too?

don't quote me, but don't they usually say only for shareholders as of such and such a date?

Um...doesn't the price go down after the split to compensate for the increased number of shares? So does it really matter?

You needed to be an owner on or before May 5th(date of record) to take part in the split.

It doesn't matter if you get in before or after, you still have the same value.

Yeah, be we all know that if a healthy company splits it stock it will experience a "omg, the stock is cheaper" bounce in the weeks after the split.
