You can choose the XP 1600+ AGOIA or AROIA core and will hit 166 without much trouble.

You can also pick any XP and unlock it and choose a lower multiplier and raise the fsb to 166.

the best part to is some people have hit 166 fsb without unlocking the chip!!.....that tells alot about what a killer cpu these 1600's are....

you could also go for an xp 2400+
they are about 200 bucks
you might not hit 166fsb with it tho unless you have something other an air cooling or you drop the clock mult
but it is easy to unlock them
the L1 bridges are already connected
just hafta connect the 5th L3

Hey Shux :) I'm using an XP1600+ AGOIA in a 8K3A+ and since the board has the 1/5 divider it'll do 166fsb@ the default 1.75Vcore, even the 1600+AROIA I had would do 166fsb@1.775v on my 8K3A but I had to sell that system :( Anyways grab an Epox 8K series mobo and a 1600+ and some 2700DDR and 166fsb should be no problem even if you don't get the best stepping. Now get that bad boy bought and crunchin' some SETI! WU's WU's WU's :D

Every XP1600+ I've got from newegg has accepted 166FSB with no unlocking or voltage increase.

shux, i'm running an axp1600 on an msi kt4 ultra with samsung pc2700 (2x256mb) and i'm running at 166fsb locked with 1.775voltage (.025 boost over stock)
get some decent cooling and an overclockers mobo (like asus a7v333, msi kt4 ultra, epox 8k3a/8k5a/8k9a series) and it should run like a dream

Have an AROIA XP1600+ in my EPOX 8K5A2+ doing 166fsb right now, no worries. Rock solid.
Have an AGOIA XP1600+ too but it's in an ECS K7S5A and could only get it to 147 fsb. I'm sure it would do 166 in a better board though!

Been running SETI on it since I got it. Last time I rebooted was 7 days 4 hours ago to put on some expandable tubing.

OK, maybe I should have been more Specific. Anyone get a 1900+ to do 2.0GHz and if so what kind of cooling and voltage.

I have read and seen becnhmarks of systems at 2ghz with something like 9x or 10x multiplier and a seriously high FSB on unlocked 1600 and 1900's. Take that for what it is worth; there is no way to prove ppl did it unless you see it yourself.

Here's some reading for you, with some money for a Prometeia or other phase cooling and 200MHz+ is possible.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4347

Oh, and by the way, according to AMD here, there will be 2 types of XP2600+, one with 266MHz and one with 333MHz.
http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_182_869_4348^4378|123_1_XP,00.html

I'm waiting for the XP2800+ with the 512k cache and 333MHz in a nice nForce2 board (MSI K7N2 Ultra-FISR or ABIL).
