Is the ati 5970 2 gb better in games than the ati 5870 1gb which card has more power to run any game, what ever the answer is and why please

Yes. The £530 card is better than the £330 card 🙂

As has been mentioned it is effectively 2x5850's (1GB each for a total of 2GB) running on a single card.

So why is it better? Because your paying for a high end dual GPU solution, wouldn't exist if it wasn't faster...
