How old were you when you finally felt that your age was finally catching up to you? How did you feel about it? What did you regret not doing when you had the chance if any?

almost to my mid-40's. Still haven't felt that my age was catching up to me. Perhaps it's because I older sons & maintain an attitude that I can still physically outperform them on any task. (except motocross - but that's not because my age caught up to me, it's because my wife won't let me. Otherwise, I'd be racing at least once or twice this summer.)

31. The only thing I regret not doing was contributing to retirement sooner.

Ahh to be a young dumbass. Hindsight 20/20...

I guess I'm a couplefew years younger than DrPizza. Compared with when I was, say, 25, from a physical standpoint I'm a little less flexible, probably no change in overall strength and speed (I was never fast - in fact, I'm downright slow). I've been playing basketball for over 20 years, and I'm a better player now than I was then. I'm more economical in my movements (maybe my stamina's dropped a bit), and have much more guile. I feel the aches and pains more after a game these days. I'm more pragmatic than creative now, a better craftsman, more patient, more accepting. I'm less prone to arguing, because I seldom care if people share my opinion.

I take more risks physically now, which sometimes irks my g/f, but I also think it turns her on a little. ;)

I'm in my mid 20's and I feel like I've got one foot in the grave most days.

I'll be 53 this year and I've definately lost a step or two in the last few years. Don't really have any regrets, wish I would have had time to play more competative golf before I became senior tour material :)

31 Physically? That's was more of what I was getting at... being 29, I can't help but feel sometimes that my days of youth are numbered as far as challenging physical activity goes. Though most of that can be mitigated with daily exercise which I do though the thought of having peaked or that my best days are behind me are undesirable to say the least.

And the reason for starting this thread is to see what activities if any I should get out of the way sooner than later before I'm unable/not primed for to enjoy.

I'm 46. Just did 39 mile on my mtn bike for a fund raiser. The only ones ahead of me were the guys on road bikes. I'm doing ~6 days of cardio, 6'1" 198lbs and 34" waist. Stuff hurts. Shoulders (years of heavy bench), knees (3 surgeries) but I'm taking care of them much better than I did when I was younger. And I've got a 9 year old that I will have to keep up with through his teen years, at least.

Not any regrets that I know of.

I noticed it when I was 17..... Not that I was in decline, but I felt like I missed many opportunities.
