My pops has a HD projector and were watching the hd channels in 1080i. Basketball looks outstanding but we switched it t forest gump and after a while we started to notice that the picture seems kind of clay-ish kind of like the colors are smearing. in a one color concentration of something like someones face it seems kinda smeared like it was clay. Anyone know why this is or what we can do?

sounds odd...I have no issues with any HD movie using my projectpr...faulty disc, projector colors not calibrated???

It depends on the channel. Some channels are very compressed and will look like this. It's sort of like if you compress a Jpeg too much, the picture ends up looking muddy and pixelated.
