Question for you AOL users, Disappearing mouse???????

OJ

Senior member
I have a friend that uses AOL 6.0 and his mouse disappears when he logs on and scrolls down,(seems to be scroll related because you have to scroll to cause problems), it won't come back until a reboot. It works fine in just Windows Apps. I looked around and did not find any conflicts.

Thanks for any help,

Specs

Win95 release 2 w/USB Support
(Not using any USB devices)
MS optical scroll mouse, connected PS2 (Intelimouse 3.0 software)
Sony Vivo P2 233
No conflicts in device manager
Hide pointer when typing is Not checked.

6.0 is buggy...my financee isn't having mouse problems, but she can't get You got Mail! to work...and a few other of the sounds. I tried the AOL setup and Control Panel -> sounds and I get nothing, I set up Pegasus Mail to pay the sound as AOL tech support stated "You have corrupt sound files on your computer".

I think this is the best place to get help with computer problems!!!!

Somebody has to use AOL out their, they just don't want to admit it. 🙂

I've heard that AOL 6.0 is very buggy. I would recommend uninstalling it and reverting to 5.x.

Actually, I would recommend uninstalling AOL all together, but you don't want to hear that. 😉
