Question for Voicestream users, or cell phone know-alls :)

Hey guys, I just had a question about voicestreams 600 anytime, 2000 nights & weeknds promotional package they're offering now. Is that 2000 night & weekend per month??? I would assuem so, but they are VERY unclear on the website, and have not been able to find the answer in any literature, so I just wanted to make sure. Thx...

Its 2000 weekend per month. Voicestream is pretty good for me in the DC area and I got my t28 world for free but you might wanna check out Cingular too.

yeah, just got off the phone with voicestream, and they told me that too. Now my only hesitation is whether or not my phone will be hooked up to my shipping/billing address that I have entered for amazon.com, or they will use the area code i used to find out about service, because I'm moving in a month from Long Island to Boston, and would rather have a boston number than NY number, just so it's not long distant for my driends in boston to call. What do you guys think? and if it is hooked up with a NY area code, is it tough to get changed, and does it cost anything?

Yes, it's weekends only. 12:00AM Saturday to 11:59PM Sunday.
Shouldn't be too much of a problem to change your phone number. It will take between 2 and 24 hrs. to update in their system, though, and your service will probably be interrupted. You might have to re-setup your voice mailbox as well.

yeah, I just ordered my phone and service thru amazon. with MIR+coupon, it cost me only $49 for the nokia 8290 phone! not too shabby. I found it on their website too that "at this time" they don't charge for number changes. I'm just curious to find out which number they give me. When I initially started looking, I put in aBoston zip code for rates, but I wonder if they'll use that zip code, or my mailing/billing address in NY. Guess I'll find out this week
