Well, before I subscribed, a simple search of topic headings would be PAINFULLY slow. To the point where I only did a search when ultimately necessary.

Since subscribing, I would say that search speed has increased exponentially.

I'm surprised you haven't already subscribed considering how much you NEF, spanky007:p

So DO IT, DO IT, DO IT! Just cough up the $$$, you won't regret it.

The speed increase is phenomenal especially on broadband (cable/DSL) but is also noticeable on 56k dial up as well.

No ads.

Full text searches do work!

The 1,000 PM limit is really nice.

Just do it, man... TAKE THE DRUGS!

...actually, if I hadn't subscribed I would've left by now as it was too annoying. I love the faster forums and the full text search is incredibly useful. For someone who participates as much as you it is definitely worth it.

YES!

It feels like it has saturated my 1.5mbps connection.

Those clips are not exaggerated in any way.

In fact, the non subscriber link only downloads half the data that the subscriber link did (I view 100 posts per page, when I'm logged out it defaults to 50).

The non-subscriber link was done on the shared T1, the subscriber link was done on my cable connection at home.

I joined and the very next day I won the lottery (since I didn't have to wait for pages to load, I had time to go buy a lottery ticket)! Wow, now that is service!
