Just curious if you got the digital in and out expansion card with it. It is in the manual as opitional and I didn't recieve one but I wasn't sure if I was supposed to get one.

I believe the digital in and out expansion card is not included with it. Thats what I have seen in several reviews. The board has a digital out port and the headers are there if you want to plug in the expansion card, just remember that you can't use both digital out ports at once when you have the expansion card hooked up.

Thanks, I really don't need the digital input and am just using the digital out on the mobo but was just curious if I was missing something. So far I am extremely happy with this board, as compared to my old finiky Iwill

the s/pdif is built into the board Pic of A7N8X It's the yellow connector on this pic.

by digital in did you mean Line In ?

If you will be connecting the sound to a home entertainment system that only has an Optical in then you will need the module for the Optical out connection but most receivers will have at least the s/pdif connector.

I understand which one is the digital out on the mobo(it is the one I am using). But on page 30 of the manual if has a expansion card shown that has a coax style digital in and out on it. That is the part I was wondering if I was supposed to have.

No, it does NOT crray that little board. At least, for every A7N8X Deluxe package I saw in U.S. Check Newegg.com

NewEgg Linky

click on the third image for an accessory list. You will find out what you might be missing if any.

are you sure

I think it's an s/pdif also known as coax digital out and a Optical digital out.

this board is for those that need the Optical Out and for those that didn't get a board with s/pdif on the board.
