About a year ago, after I quit using my XBox, I figured I'd mess around with changing the dashboard and using it for something other than playing games. I picked up the right version of Mech Assault, an Action Replay, and downloaded a save file that would allow me to use the Mech Assault trick to load Linux.
It did not go as planned. After I loaded up the image, I got the new dashboard. Everything seemed fine until I turned it off. Now it will not boot to anything. I can play games, but cannot access the dashboard. I attempted to reload from the saved partition, but that does not work either. A few days later I see that the forum that I downloaded the save from -- a bunch of people are saying it blew away their XBox.
Now I just want to restore the danged thing back to normal, so I can give away the XBox to my brother. I've been told there is a bootable CD image you can download, but I can't find it. Anyone know where I can look?
