This may sound a little ridiculous, but a friend of mine purchased a T-bird 850 and when I watched him boot up his puter, it said Athlon 850 in the Bios. So, my question is; If you have a T-bird will it say T-bird in the Bios, or will it say Athlon ?

I have an Athlon 750 and it obviously says "Athlon" in the Bios, so, wouldnt a T-Bird say "Thunderbird" in the Bios rather than "Athlon" ?

Thx

nope, officially it is called the athlon. Some venders say it is a t-bird simply because the people who buy from them and the people who know most about them know it was once called the t-bird and it just sounds so cool. I saw part of one of those 30 minute commercials that try to sell you computers one time and it had one of the vice presidents of AMD on there. He was calling it the "enhanced" athlon. SO whatever they call it don't worry about it as long as it has 256Kb of full speed L2 cache.
