Question for those of you who recently purchased a monitor from Dell

Did your monitor come with the VGA cable attached to the monitor? I just got mine today and ALL the cables came in bags in a separate area...then the VGA cable is attached to the monitor. Im thinking I got one that was returned... :|:|:|

Meh?
WTF

As you can see in the 2nd picture, there is an empty space for what I believe to be the VGA cable.

I _think_ my VGA cable was not attached and was in a sealed plastic bag.

I could be wrong though, mine appears to be 100% brand spankin' new.

haha, you probabaly got a returned one, lol

HAHAHHAHAHAH!!! You got a returned one. Mine came with all cables in neat small bags with twisties. HAHA!

j/p. Honestly, I wouldn't sweat it. Probably used by a tester and shipped out. 🙂

Both my 1703's came with the cables unattached in a seperate sealed bag.

Hmm....conflicting stories. Seems some come that way...some don't. So...if it has previously not been returned, WHY would the VGA cable not be in its own bag in its own pocket. 4 pockets, 4 cables....1 cable with no bag outside the pocket...

you probably got one that was returned for some reason. mine was the same, and i found one tiny green pixil that i could only see with an all black background, and only if i tryed looking for it. so i just kept mine(didnt bother me + lazy= kept it) 😉

I remember my 2001FP came with the VGA attached, that was a long time ago

the 2005FPW I ordered was one of the first they sent out, I was one of the first to order in November, very likely it had been returned yet, VGA was attached, it's just what they do

if you're so worried call and ask them

Hmm...I just might, but something tells me a gentleman in India who works in a call center for customer service might not know...and waiting 20 mins on hold to find that out would be a PITA.

Ill wait and see how the pollage turns out. 🙂

Rebel XT is delayed, but can take a few when it does get here and send them to you...

Whats your email? 😉😛

btw, reason for large pictures is that im lazy and don't give a fvck. You have broadband, you can load it...and if you don't, tough sh!t. 😉

Man, just post on Dell forums and bitch about it. There's bound to be some people who knows on there.

Im probably just going to keep it. I took the LCD out of the box and it looks perfect. Havn't had a change to plug her in...but save any backlighting/dead pixels Ill just keep it. Poll was added for my own curiosity really..

Both 19's I got recently came that way. When I got my 1800fp it didn't have any cables connected but it came with DVI and VGA cables.
