It's great that you took enough time off from screwing your sister to come down and write a response but next time, make a little bit of sense. I'm going to let this one slide because, well, look where you're from! You really never stood a chance.
I do not actually have a sister, so I suppose the age-old debate of whether there are people on the Internet who are literally too stupid to count to one has now been answered.

Oh i get it, your sister is also your mother, so she doesn't count as your sister.

Things must get confusing in hick towns.

You should write books! It's so cute that you think you produce that weapon, and that in turn somehow makes you capable of using it in combat!

Well, maybe not books. Maybe D-Movie scripts that aren't sold. But still! very cute and funny.

Let me break it down for you:

You do not produce that weapon.
You know nothing about it beyond what you see on TV and in games.
You are not a soldier in any military.
You are not capable of combat in any significant capacity
You would be the first to die in any kind of post-apocaplyptic insurgency against the US military.

But a man, or boy as I suspect, can dream right!

Keep dreaming

There are quite a few ex-soldiers and some current ones in this forum. I am one of the them.

You on the other hand sound like you take your knowledge of the military from Hollywood. You believe the average soldier is trained to be the government and will kill any American civilian on command, as if they're some sort of robot controlled by their superiors.

You're a joke.

If an american civilian attacks a military target, they will get shot and I don't believe you are a soldier at all, certainly not one who's served in the last 15 years. Only a total wackjob of a former soldier would ever claim that they would desert the military and join some insurgency, what you suggest is TREASON you idiot.

Go play soldier somewhere else.

No power for a month?

That would suck.

Gather together what cash I had and run to the grocery store and buy cheap non perishables.

Water is no problem. I'm on a well and can hand draw it fairly easily.

Chop some firewood for my fire place.

I've got plenty of .22 ammo. Guess we could eat some rabbit and dove or squirrel.

I've fishing gear. There's a nearby pond. I'd give it a go. If no good I'd have to hike or ride a bike about 4 miles to nearest big river.

There's some cattle across the highway from my house. :sneaky:

Depending upon the time of year I could go raid some crops (fruit, corn, beans, tomatoes).

I live in a rural area in the mountains.

It really is not comparable to modern times. Civilization is much more integrated today. I don't think of America as the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire is more like America, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea and the European Union. We would all have to fall together and civilization would then have to fall as well. I don't see that happening with the technology and access to cheap and plentiful food we have. It IS NOT GOING to happen. Don't worry, you will get some painful disease and die an agonizing death long long before civilization collapses.

Too big to fail on your unsinkable ship while playing Monday morning quarterback?

Or poorly trained rushed into situations unprepared no different than Nixon's tin soldiers at Kent State.

I am not a prepper by any mean but the old saying better have it and never need it than need it and not have it.

For those that say current civilization is strong, just look at Katrina riot, Rodney King riot and others. Something about those that do not learn from history will doom to repeat it.

Yes if you live in the ghetto you should prepare. I think most people here agreed on that. I said move though. Don't live in a shit hole. With the Rodney King riots you could literally just walk across the railroad tracks and be safe.

I wouldn't keep all my reserves in silver.

If you ask 10 people on the street what silver is worth I bet none of them would know.

People are conditioned to believe paper money has value and are used to trading in it.

I expect that if the power went out people would still rather accept paper money, at least until quite a bit of time passed and attitudes changed.

I think at first cash would be king since so few keep any large quantities of it on hand. Money in banks and investment accounts would be out of reach and of no use.

You don't have to live in the ghetto to experience bad things. The ghetto could come to you/your location.

I used to live in a decent place but after a few years, bad characters moved in, more and more of them. Sadly, I had to leave but it would be much harder if I owned the resident.

If the power goes out for an extended period of time, and the shat hit the fan (Katrina, Tsunami, earthquake, etc) the most valuable non-edible commodity is lead.

If the power went out for an extended period money of any variety would be the least of peoples' concerns IMO. Barter economy would come back first, money only matters when all basic needs are either met or can be acquired through money.

Yep.

As for power outages, even Katrina-type disasters aside, parts of Michigan had no power for a couple weeks this winter. Now imagine if that happened on a bigger scale. Suddenly you have starving and cold people wanting to do your family harm to get your food and generator.

There was a guy on Doomsday Preppers whose actual disaster plan was to use force to take other people's stuff. That guy admitted it on camera and explained the how and why. Now think about all the people out there who aren't even that rational. People are already killed every day for a lot less than a generator.

4 Blood Moons on the way, means there will be some sort of world shaking event.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...ns-sign-world-shaking-event-article-1.1754601

If you read some of the comments, you'll learn, that God created the sun and the moon to communicate to us. I had no idea!!

So, you know all those heart to hearts, biblical figures have been having with God? Yeah, they are now conversations via the sun and moon. Damn ISPs & phone providers even have God by the balls on limiting communications!
