Question for the G9 mouse owners

I just got a Logitech G9 & I find the scroll wheel button freakishly hard to press down to click. Is it just my mouse or are all of the G9s like this?
 
I bought it and quickly returned it. My two unforgivable gripes where the middle button click (impossible to click without also scrolling the wheel up a notch) and the fact that the bottom of the mouse drags on the mouse pad when lifting it.
