Question for Steam Headset set up

Hey anyone here do a lot of gaming (Steam)? Just curious as to what your set up is. Are you using a gaming headset, separate headphone and mic? Soundcard or external usb source?

Looking for suggestion on which way to go and what to get. Thanks for any info.This will be for casual gaming. Not looking to start streaming on Twitch or anything.

All these questions are completely irrelevant since it all comes down to personal preference.
People who don't play online competitive games won't have headset/mic combos,people that don't have the PC hooked up to a top of the line hi-fi won't have a sound card and so on.

Make a new thread stating that you want a new gaming system and tell people what YOU want to be able to play and how and how much money you can spend on it.

I use a gaming headset with a built in Mic, some sennheiser model i cant remember, was like $200 a decade ago. I have it hooked up to my Asus Xonar STX soundcard, which has its own dedicated headphone amp.

I use a mod mic with Sennheiser headphones plugged into the onboard audio on my X370 Taichi.

I'm using AKG K712 or Sennheiser HD6XX and a CAD U37 USB mic on a mic arm with a pop filter.
