Question: For Sale or Trade Forum Etiquette...

How do you guys feel about this...

1. One is in the process of striking a deal with another strictly by posting on the person's topic.

2. The buyer receives an email from somebody else saying basically "I see from the post that you want such and such, and I have to same thing sealed, with receipt and upc. Let me know if you want it." The person sending the email has not posted anything on the topic, so basically this is behind the original sellers back.

Incidently, I was the buyer.

I feel that this tactic is rather underhanded, but I wanted to see how people feel about this phenomenon.

There is alot of underhanded stuff that goes on there. I had a trade deal in the works and got a few emails from people telling me to back out and take what they had to offer. They never posted in the thread, just sent emails. One even got a little moronic and said I was a fool for not taking his trade and asked if I would reconsider. That really made me want to deal with him
