Question For Radeon 9700 Non Pro users

i havent got a 9700np/or pro but i have a 9500pro...and yeah mine comes up as 9700/9500pro

i think its becuase the clock speeds are the same for both cards......so the bios might have been given the same identies....

the 9700 only differes with its 256bit memory bus....9500pro has only 128bit

if you get right performacne ,then it won't be that bad,ask others,

visit thinkdigit.com/forum , there you could ask The Mask

true an extent

the 9500np pro only has half the pipelines a 9700 has....but the 9500pro is simply the same as a 9700 except it has half the memory bus.....other than that the GPU is indentical..that means 8 pipes 🙂 same clock speeds...im glad i bought it!!! not many around now.....even the 9600xt has a few moments where it fails to beat the 9500pro

best 130 spent ever!!!

No.. A 9500 and 9700 have the same core. A 9800 is basically a tweaked 9700. A 9600 is a whole different core.

Thanks. Reason I'm asking is because I flashed my bios using a modified one and it showed up as a 9700pro and it was unstable. I forgot what it showed up as before.
