I tried sending PyroHale a private message but either I did it wrong or he's disabled that function. I'm looking to build a system like his and I wondered what he's using for a HSF. Here's what I've dug up so far to put into my system :

Enlight Medium ATX Tower Case Model EN-72370X3 300 watt power supply.
Enermax Thermal Control 8CM cooling fan. built-in heat sensor.
EPOX EP-8K7A Motherboard. AMD-761 + VIA 686B AGPset.
AMD Thunderbird 1.2GHz 266MHz Bus Socket A processor.

Just need to know what kind of HSF to use and where to buy it.
 
hmm... i dont see that i have a new pm... well whatever
personally, i got a cooler master HSF, but I've heard from a lot of people that the way to go is too use one from Tai Sol. these are only a couple of bucks more expensive, but they are much better. also, i ordered my parts from Newegg.com, which is (in my opinion) the best place to order from. they have very positive feedback, and some of the lowest prices anywhere.
 
Heh sorry to imply you weren't responding to PM. I tried sending one to you and it said you weren't a user or you had the PMs turned off 🙂 I'm still not sure that I did it the right way anyway...Taisol isn't available on Newegg.com. Do you remember what kind of coolermaster you bought? The system I'm looking at is remarkably similiar to the system you have in your sig. Thanks for the help.
 
Well, let me see here... (hah turns out I did disable PMs. I'll turn that back on)
It was a Cooler Master DP5-6131A, and it's 8 bucks.
um... did Newegg stop working for you?
 
well, i'll find out soon enough, as the fedex arrives tomorrow with all my upgrades. 😀
i just wanted to get an early start on my profile. but rest assured i will pm you with details of how its working.
i didnt plan on overclocking my system, but considering i have a lot of fans and a (hopefully) good HSF, its begging for it.
