Hi, this questions is a little advanced, so I'll try to make it as simple as I can.
I have a VB 6.0 app. One of the features requires Word 7.0 or higher. I have handled Word so that it is recognized when needed. It works on all Microsoft OSs (Win 95, 98, NT, 2000, etc.) The only one that fails is Win 95 by itself with no Word installed. All other combinations work fine.
The error is that Tabctl32.ocx is an older version.
When I compare this ocx with the same one in other OSs the versions are the same up to Win 2000 where it bumps to version 5.8.
If all the versions of the ocx are the same with or without Word, why can't I have Win 95 standalone (no Word)?
This is driving me nuts!!
