Have they finally extended the MAX to OHSU? In other words, can I take the MAX from PDX to OHSU? There was talk about extending the line to OHSU when I was a resident there. Surely, it must be done by now.
 
No, MAX does not go to OHSU and I doubt it ever will.
There has been a lot of talk about possibly adding a tram that goes up there. You can read more about it here.

It seems like the demand for mass transit (other than buses) that gets to OHSU would be too small to justify the costs.

They still want to. Not sure if they will have the money for it. There are also a lot of people that DON'T want it.

I don't want it. It's not just the cost. I used to have a house in the Lair Hill neighborhood a few years back right underneath where they are going to build that tram, and I know that the homeowners there are very much against this tram. A lot of people don't seem to realize that Katz's little tram is going to go over the top of a lot of private homes.

Besides taxi, is there any other convenient way to get from PDX to OHSU? This is just a short visit to check into some old friends at the hospital.
