Question for Photoshop pros

Alright, i'm working on a gigantic wallpaper - 1600x1200. I need a straight brush stroke, from the very top to the very bottom. It has to be perfectly straight, and there is no way that i can move my mouse like that. Is there anything i can do? Maybe somehow combine the brush tool with the line tool?

hold shift down and use the tool. im a newbie to ps and i knew that.

Ah. Well that's what happens when you teach yourself - you miss the little things.

Alright, what if i need a straight stroke that goes from, say, top left to bottom right? Would i have to create a new layer and then rotate, or is there a faster way?

select airbrush (or whatever brush)

click once in top left

move brush to bottom right

press and hold shift

click once in bottom right

release shift
