You need to report interest income above a certain amount, the IRS tax booklet lists it.

I don't have an ING account but you might be able to look up the amount they paid in 2004 by going to your account online.

I don't know if I should report mine. It's a 401a account from my employer. I've never actually put money into it...they automatically add 10% of my salary to the account. It's a pension fund.

Check online, but if you get less than $10 in interest no 1099 Int is sent to you and you don't need to report it.

if you recieve a form 1099-int (will recieve if u made ove $10 in interest in 2004) you MUST report it to the IRS....reguardless of the ammount as this form is considered additional "income" and will eb reported to the IRS jsut as your W2's are (just not sent in liek them)

and yeah in ING you print it out directly from your account window...theres a link right under your balances

Yes, they give you the 1099 on the site. Print it or download it. 😀

I have an ING account. As the previous posters said, they send you a report or you can get it online. You have to report it on your taxes but they can't tax you for it.
