exactly how much southern exposure do i need?

i live in an apartment, and my balcony faces directly east......if you look off to the right about 90 degrees clockwise i have a direct south view....with good height....BUT, the building is right there too....so basically...i can see 90 degrees...but not 91 degrees...etc.

think i can even get a signal? (assuming my apt. complex even lets me put up a dish....)

thanks. i'm sick and tired of spending $43 a month and paying that money to comcast

edit: well....finally dug out the 'ole compass...looks like i'm pretty much in the wrong direction totally for satellte coverage. oh well...maybe my next apartment....

Uhm, no real way to know unless you can find out the exact angles necessary for your location.

It depends on where you are at. For Directv, figure that you have to point roughly towards Houston TX.

Getting the ok to put up a dish is another thing....
