I just recently purchased a new mzr90 on these forums, I was reading the online manual and it said that digital Synced recording will lay track marks exactly where the source has them, so does that mean I can use Winamp without any plugins and me optical cable to make a perfect playlist->md recording?

this is usually the case, winamp and mp3's in general usually leave a long enough pause between tracks for a digital sync recorder to cut perfect track marks... of course, there are exceptions... but having to make a few track marks here and there isn't a huge deal...

Search the plugins at winamp.com for a pause plug in.. i forget the name, but there is one...

You could manually go through and put the T marks in.
The synro record only works if there is a 2 second pause.
No audo player I know put that much space in by default.

well, just from my experience ... i've had Sony MZ-R50, Sharp MT-831, Spny MZ-R91, and Sharp Deck,... all units cut tracks to a certain extent using winamp with no plugins, it doesn't need to "stop", just the silence from the end of one song plus the slight silence before the next needs to be ~2 sec, which from my experience with the above units and countless mp3's/wma's... is usually the case and i usually make full MD's having to enter max 2 t-marks manually...

So if I want perfect tracks I have to either use a cd player with optical out or my boombox with cd and md? :(
