Question for overclocking an athlon xp 2100 Tbred B

Alright, i overclocked my CPU, now it is at 166 x 13.5 at 1.85 V (total overclock from 1733 to 2250)

i just ordered some geil 3200 ram that is rated at a CAS latency of 2.5

now, im wondering if i will be able to push it farther than i currently am with my cheap 256 mb of Spektek pc2700 ram, which is pretty much stuck at 166 mhz especially at a CAS of 2 that im runnign it at.

i have an ASUS A7N8X with a nforce 2 ultra 400 chipset. under load the CPU never gets to 50C and it idles nicely at 31C


now another question, if i cant push it farther really, will i be able to use both my geil 3200 and my spektek pc 2700 ram together? i know it will change the speed of the geil to the pc2700 speeds, but im hoping i can run both for more ram.

the reason i ask this is because many people say i cant, but i was able to run 2 512 sticks of pc2100 PNY and this stick of pc 2700 ram together for a good 6 months with no issues at all.

if you run the two sticks of ram your stuck at the speed of the slower one. if you just run the pc3200 i would run it at 200 x 5.5(if its unlocked). the vcore is a little high so i would not go any higher.

ok so how big of a difference would i notice running 200 fsb at 5.5 compared to the 166 at 13.5?
would i need to up the voltage a bit? i heard that for best performance on an nforce2 board you want to keep the multiplier above 11X

Personally, I would drop that CPU volt down to 1.75 V or 1.70 V.
Then bring the FSB to 166 and Multiplier down to 12. Then up the FSB to 175, test stability. Up FSB to 185, Test stability, Up FSB to 195, Test stability. Then go on from there. If you get unstable, drop the multiplier by .5 and continue to up the FSB. Typically, 2.2ghz is a top speed for Tbred-B under 1.65 - 1.7 Volt conditions. If you want faster, you will probably have to up your voltage by .05V each 5mhz FSB, or .1V each .5 multiplier.

Remember, evey cpu are different, so your results may differ.

Alright, well i got my athlon xp 2100 tbred be from its base stock speed of 1733 mhz ( 13 x 133) to what it runs now, 2.2 ghz (11 x 200)
im currently at 1.8v should i try to bring the voltages down a little bit? o would i possibly be able to go 11.5 multi on these same voltages? after running prime95 for 6 hours the cpu temp is 54 degrees C soo i think thats as high as i want it to go, it only gets to 50 during games and everything normal i do tho..

what you think? that a nice overclock? will i notice a difference if i change anything more?

perhaps memory timings? i have geil 3200 at rating of 2.5-3-3-11 right now

You might be able to drop the voltages. My 2100+ does 2357mhz (205x11.5) @1.7v stable. Only way to really find out is to test it. Drop the voltage a little and test. 2.2ghz is a good speed, but more than likely you should be able to do it with 1.7v or less.
