Question for Old Fart

🙂The Ga 8irxp also has the 2.66 option under Host /Dram ratio in the bios which as I understand it is the 3:4 memory timing , so does that mean this mobo also has that ratio at any fsb?

I never had one of those boards, but from what I've heard, no. The only 845D boards that I know of that do are the EPOX 4BDA/(2+) and the ABIT BD7. You are running 140 FSB right? CPU-Z or Sandra will tell you what mem speed you are running. It will either be 280 or 373 MHz.

Yes my memory right now is at 280mhz "it shows that in the bios and Sandra" because I have the host/dram ratio at 2.0 , however when I set it at 2.66 in the bios it shows it at 373mhz in the bios the reason I won't check it at that ratio in Sandra is because I only have pc 2100 and 373 is to far out of spec for pc2100 however I did check it once in Sandra at 134 fsb and ratio at 2.66 { 3:4} and it showed it at 356mhz and my memory scores in Sandra memory were 2684/2568 , when I changed it to 2.0 {1:1} the scores in Sandra memory were in the 1900's, this leads me to believe it does have the 3:4 ratio at above 133fsb, until I get some pc2700 or higher I can't test it out at 140 fsb at 2.66 {3:4}, your thoughts please.

Old Fart , I just checked it out at 134fsb , 2.66 { 3:4 } memory ratio and in Sandra it showed it at 2x178mhz, multiplier 1.33 , so this 8irxp does have the 3:4 memory ratio also { they show it in the bios under host/dram clock ratio 2.66 } would you agree? When I set it at 2.0 { 1:1 } in bios Sandra shows 2x133 mhz, multiplier 1. 🙂
