Question for Nokia cell-phone owners

Just wondering: (this question is for anyone with a Nokia cell-phone, in particular a 6100 series but I'm sure it's pretty much all the same)

What does it mean when you receive a call and instead of a number or a name, there's the letter U? I'm sitting here at work and suddenly the silent vibrate function goes off. I look at the display and instead of a xxx-xxx-xxxx number or a name, all I see is a letter U. (capitalized) Does that mean it's an unlisted number, someone *67-ed me to block their number, or ? (It didn't show up on my call log at all, which is why I'm puzzled) Thanks for any help!

Does it happen often? My guess is it was just a glitch when you were receiving caller ID info. I got a 3 digit number once when my phone (Nokia 8860) was trying to get caller ID info - the caller had a number that usually shows up normally on my caller ID.

rlism - first time it's happened to me. (I just got the phone about a month ago - nothing really baazar has happened with me and it yet until now. It didn't notify me of two voicemail messages once but that was about all the weirdness I've had from the phone so far)

If it helps any, it was some lady who I guess called the wrong number. I'm just trying to figure out what the U means (only had the phone for about a month)

U... unnamed? hehehe... when a number is unlisted/blocked or whatever, CALL 1 will just show up on my 8290. Never got a U before though...
