I'm going to NYC tomorrow with my dad. I want to go to that restaurant, rocco's (from that TV show). Is that restaurant any good, or is it just hype? Also, do they have any sort of dress code, or can i just show up with my khaki pants and button down shirt?

Unless otherwise noted (usually at CitySearch) khakis and button down is fine.

Honestly,

I've heard it's hype and the food isnt that good. I've looked at the menu and the selection is pretty poor. Take a taxi down to Little Italy if you want touristy italian food, it has a lot more restuarants to choose from. I'd suggest Da Genarro's for dinner it has really good food, but get your dessert from one of the other small shops in the area.

Little Italy restaurants

Anyway have a taxi take you down to canal and mulberry street. You can also take the subway(ACE) to the canal street stop but I'd suggest the taxi. Oh and when you get there you'll think your in the wrong place because Lil' Italy is surrounded by chinatown.

Anyway update on how it goes.

good link.

I went there once, with a friend from out of state. It was over-priced and a little too touristy for my tastes, but that's Manhattan for ya.

You can get better Italian food at just about anywhere in the boroughs or Jersey, though :)

If you want to eat crappy Italian food, go down to Puglia's in Little Italy. At least they have cheap wine and you can listen to Jorge sing the Napkin Song.
