I am new to AMD. I would like some AMD + DDR suggestion.
1) What chip set is good? VIA, SIS or AMD Chip Set?
2) What kind of AMD CPU is good currently. (Athlon TB 1.2 or Athlon MP?). Which one can be use for about 1.5 - 2.0 year
3) Which motherboard is good in price / performance / stability.
4) How to overclock the AMD Athlon? Just set the monthboard speed?
5) Which graphic board is good for this new AMD + DDR package.

Thanks.

AMD 760 (AMD 761 northbridge)

Athlon T-bird 1.2 GHz is a great processora nd s/b good for at least the length of time you are contemplating. MP is also good, but costs more.

Epox EP-8K7A is inexpensive, performs well and is stable. (don't get a Netgear NIC with it though)

Athlons allow you to adjust both the multiplier and FSB settings for more ways to overclock.

A good graphics board is a good graphics board no matter what the processor is. GeForce 3 is the current 3D champ, but pricey. The GeForce 2 Pro or GTS are good quality 3D and don't cost so much. The ATI Radeon solutions are good and the Kryo II solutions s/b considered too.
