Question for Miami residents

Hello Miami people,

I'll be going to Miami for spring break this coming wednesday.

I'm dying to know how to get to Little Havana. I want some good Cuban food.

Public transportation? Taxi?

How is Little Havana anyhow? Nice looking area? Safe?

Anyplace else in Miami worth eating at?

There's a restaurant called "La Carreta". I've never been there, but I hear the food is great.
